Day 1
Torstai 21.2.2013 / Thursday 21.2.2013
Matka tosiaan alkoi siis viikko sitte ku lähettii yhen mais ajelee Helsinkii kohden. Oltii aika jännittyneitä ku kysees oli kuitenki meille molemmille ensimmäinen reissu ilman aikuisia.
Lentokentäl tuli sit vähä kiire ja jouduttii juoksemaa portille ku check-in tiskillä kävi ilmi et koneesee nousu oli jo alkanu - laukut pitäs siis olla jo konees. No kerettii sit kuitenki iha hyvin koneesee ja lento lähti 15:20 kohti Tegeliä.

Our trip began one week ago roundabout one o'clock when we started driving towards Helsinki. We were pretty excited because this was the first trip without any adults for both of us.
At the airport we got in a hurry and we had to run to the gate because it turned out at the check-in desk that the boarding had already begun - the luggage should already be on the plane. Well, we caught the plane without any problems and it took off at 15:20 towards Tegel.
Lento oli yllättävän lyhyt ja niimpä oltiiki sitte jo neljän aikoihin (Saksan aikaa) Tegelin lentokentällä. Otettii laukut messii, käytii ostaa viiden päivän Berliini -kortit ja lähettii ettimää meijän hostellia.

The flight was surprisingly short and so were we roundabout four o'clock (German time) at the Tegel airport. We took our luggage with us, bought the 5-day-Berlin-tickets and began to search the way to our hostel.
Meijän majoitus - Youth Hostel International - sijaitsi Potsdamer Platzin läheisyydessä ja löydettiiki määränpäähän ilman minkäälaisia ongelmia (kiitos hyvien ohjeiden). Kirjauduttii sisää, majottauduttii ja lähettii sitte ostamaa ruokaa illaks.
Potsdamer Platzilta löydettii ennestään tuttu Arkaden minkä alakerran Kaiser's:sta ostettii sitte safkat ja käveltii takas hostellille.
Loppuilta meni mukavasti syödessä kaikkee hyvää ja nukkumaaki käytii jo melko aikasin pitkän päivän rasittaneina.

Our accommodation - Youth Hostel International - was located in the neighborhood of Potsdamer platz and we found there without any problems (thanks to good directions). We checked in, made ourselves at home and left off to buy some food for the evening.
At Potsdamer Platz we found already known Arkaden and in the Kaiser's downstairs we bought the foods and then walked back to our hostel.

Perjantai 22.2.2013 / Friday 22.2.2013
Päivä alko mukavasti hostellin monipuolisella aamupalalla, minkä jälkee laittauduttii ja lähettii Alexaan shoppailee.

The day started nicely with the hostel's many-sided breakfast after which we dressed up and went shopping in Alexa.
Koko päivä meni oikeestaa kaupungilla shoppaillessa ja illal käytii sit viel kuvailee Sony Centerillä ja hostellil käytii viel Facebookis.

We spent the whole day in the city shopping and in the evening we went photographing at the Sony Center and when we got back to our hostel we visited Facebook.

Aamulla syötiin jälleen kattava aamiainen ja lähettii kiertelee kaupunkia odotelles Saaran yhteydenottoo. Päädyttii sit Alexanderplatzille ku oltii aiempana päivänä nähty siel semmoi kiva kenkäkauppa.
No ei me sielt kuitenkaa mitää löydetty mut Saaralt tuli viesti et kahen aikoihin kuvattas Alexanderplatzil Harlem Shake -video jos haluttas mennä mukaa ku oltii sovittu et nähtäs kyseisenä päivänä. Päätettii sit jäädä Alexaa venailee pariks tunniks.
In the morning we ate a comprehensive breakfast and left off going around the city waiting for Saara to contact us. We ended up at Alexanderplatz because we had seen there a nice shoe shop the other day.
Well, we didn't really find anything from there but Saara sent a message that there would be a Harlem Shake filming roundabout two o'clock if we would like to join 'cause we had agreed to meet that day. So we decided to wait in Alexa for a couple of hours.
Kauppakeskuksessa pyörittii sitte siihe asti kunnes se meni kiinni (jossai 10 aikaa illal).
Käytii syömäs Burger Kingis jo toistamisee, koska halpa ruoka.
We went around the shopping mall 'til the time it was closed (roundabout 10 pm).
We ate at Burger King again, because of the cheap food.
Pitkän päivän jälkeen suunnattiin väsyneinä mutta onnellisina
takas hostellille painavien ostosten kanssa. Loppuilta kului syöden
ja päiväkirjaa koristellen.

Hermannplatzilta ajettii sit bussilla Unter den Lindenille (Berliinin pääkatu) missä tsekattii Brandenburgin portti, käytii syömässä Dunkin' Donutsissa ja vierailtii muutamas matkamuistoliikkes.
Neljän mais mentii sit tapaamaa julkkiksii Madame Tussaud's:n vahakabinettii. Meil oli käyny pieni moka lippuja varatessa mut päästii kuitenki sisää (tosin jouduttii maksaa pari euroo ekstraa).
Täs hieman parhaimmistoa meijän otoksista.
Käytii ajamassa kokonainen metrolinja läpi (peräti kolme pysäkkii) ja palloiltii päärautatieasemal.
Pitkän seikkailun jälkee oltii aika väsyneitä (tai ainaki mä olin) joten päätettii lähtee takas hostellille.
Käveltii Arkadenin läpi et pystyttii olla lämpimäs ja ku päästii sen etee ni nähtii Cinemaxxin kohalla paljon porukkaa ja salamavalot vaa räpsy ni päätettii sit mennä kattoo et mitä siel tapahtuu.
Ku päästii lähemmäs ni huomattii et sinne oli laitettu punanen matto ja siel oli joku jätkä, joka oli ilmeisesti julkkis mut ei vaa tunnistettu sitä. Meil ei ollu mitää tietoo mitä siin oli tekeillä ja niimpä oltii sit lähtemäs pois tän miehen mentyy sisälle ku semmoi nainen ja mies pysäytti meijät ja kysy et jos haluttas mennä leffaa. Ei aluks tajuttu mitä ne selitti ku molemmat puhu saksaa joten pyydettii niitä selittää enkuks ja ne sit selitti. Oltii jo aiemmin mietitty et vois käydä leffas ja sit kysyttiiki et maksaaks ne liput jotai ja vastaus oli: EI !
No tottakai me sit hyväksyttii tarjous, jolloin se mies ohjeisti meitä kävelee punasta mattoo pitkin sinne teatterille ja jatkamaa salii asti. Siin ku oltii sit kävelee punasel matol ni sama mies huus aitojen takaa enkuks et "nyt ootte kuuluisii!" mihi ei voitu vastata mitää muuta ku "kiitos".

Videon kuvasten jälkee hengattii viel hetki Saaran ja Lukasin kaa ja sit suunnattii kohti Gropius-Passagen -kauppakeskusta mitä oltii etitty jo pitkän aikaa (kiitos Saaralle ohjeistuksesta ♥)

After shooting the video we hung with Saara and Lukas for a while and then we headed to a shopping mall called Gropius-Passagen which we were searching for long time (thanks to Saara for directions ♥)

Päivä alkoi jälleen hostellin aamupalalla, minkä jälkeen laitettii ittemme näteiks, koska tiedettii näkevämme julkkiksii.

The day started again with the hostel's breakfast after which we made ourselves look pretty because we knew that we were going to see celebrities that day.
Laittautumisen jälkeen lähettii ajelee U-Bahnilla.
Päätettii käydä tsekkaa milt muual Berliinis näyttää ja päädyttii loppuelopuks Hermannplatzille.

After dressing up we went driving with the U-Bahn. We decided to check how it looked like in other parts of Berlin and finally we ended up at Hermannplatz.

We drove with a buss from Hermannplatz to Unter den Linden (Berlin's main street) where we checked the Brandenburger Tor, ate at Dunkin' Donuts and visited some Souvenirs shops.
Neljän mais mentii sit tapaamaa julkkiksii Madame Tussaud's:n vahakabinettii. Meil oli käyny pieni moka lippuja varatessa mut päästii kuitenki sisää (tosin jouduttii maksaa pari euroo ekstraa).Täs hieman parhaimmistoa meijän otoksista.

Roundabout 4 o'clock we went so meet some celebrities at Madame Tussaud's wax cabinet. There had happened a little mix-up when we booked our tickets but we got in after all (although we had to pay a couple of euros extra).

We drove a whole subway route through (extreme 3 stops) and hung around the Hauptbahnhof.

After our long adventure we were so exhausted (or at least I was) that we decided to return to our hostel.
We walked through Arkaden so that we could stay somewhere warm and when we got throught it, we saw a lot of people in front of Cinemaxx with flashing light so we decided to go and check out what was all the fuss about.

Ku päästii lähemmäs ni huomattii et sinne oli laitettu punanen matto ja siel oli joku jätkä, joka oli ilmeisesti julkkis mut ei vaa tunnistettu sitä. Meil ei ollu mitää tietoo mitä siin oli tekeillä ja niimpä oltii sit lähtemäs pois tän miehen mentyy sisälle ku semmoi nainen ja mies pysäytti meijät ja kysy et jos haluttas mennä leffaa. As we got nearer, we noticed that there was a red carpet and apparently a famous man who we didn't recognize. We had no idea what was going on there and so we were leaving after the man had gone in but we got stopped by a man and a woman who asked us if we wanted to go to see the movie. At first we didn't understand what they were saying because they both spoke German so we asked them to explain in English and they did. We had already thought that we could go to a movie and so we asked them if the tickets costed something and the answer was: NO !
Well of course we accepted the offer and then the man instructed us to walk along the red carpet all the way to the theater and keep on going 'til the hall. As we were walking by the red carpet the same man shouted us behind the fences: "now you're famous!" in which we couldn't answer anything else than "thank you".

Ku päästii salii ni käytii istumaa tokaa rivii ku paljoo muita vierekkäisii paikkoi ei ollu vapaana. Se sali oli täyn ihmisii ja koko ajan tuli vaa lisää.

As we got in to the hall we seated on the second row 'cause there was no other apposite seats available. The hall was full of people and more was coming in all the time.
After some time in front of the white screen walked the host who asked the leading stars (Josh Duhamel & Julianne Hough) of the movie concerned - Safe Haven - to come on stage.
Josh took the microhope and asked if we knew what they did in Dublin and London but no one seemed to know the answer. Josh explained that they had shot a Harlem Shake video and they would like to do the same thing in Berlin which of course lead to filming one.
Josh jumped over the first row to the second row not so far away from where we were sitting and started dancing as the music went on in which the whole hall was supposed to join. We had to do it over again a couple of times 'cause many didn't understand that they were supposed to stand up or they just didn't want to dance.

Oltii niitten kaa sit hetki ku ne pääs tunnilta, minkä jälkee suunnattii kohti Potsdamia. Junamatka oli suht pitkä eikä sit määränpäähän päästyämme oikee jaksettu ees lähtee juna-asemalt mihkää vaan päätettii käydä syömäs.
Hetken kierreltyämme löydettii semmoi Italialainen pizza-pasta paikka ja päätettii syyä siin. Palvelu oli siel niinki hyvää et tarjoilija kävi kaataa lisää juomaa aina ku lasi oli tyhjä ! Päädyttii sit lopulta antamaa sille vähä tippiäki hyväst palvelust :P

Herättii tosi aikasin ku meil oli tarkotuksena mennä Saaran tunneille klo 10 eteepäi mut sit meijän aamutoimet vähä viivästy eikä iha keritty. Sovittii et nähää puol kahentoist aikaa sit niitten koulun läheisel metroasemal, jote päätettii mennä odottelee Gropius-Passagenii.
Ku oltii lähös sielt kauppakeskuksest ni semmoi oikeen mukava suoristusrauta kaupustelija Toño (tai joku vastaava) pysäytti meijät ja halus välttämättä laittaa Jennin hiuksii. Juteltii sit siin kaiken näköstä poikaystävistä yms sen kanssa ja oli oikeen hauskaa. Opetettii sille kans "Minä rakastan sinua" ( mikä kuulosti sen suusta aluks enemmänki "Mina rakashtan shinua" ) ku se pyys, minkä jälkee se huuteli sitä siin kaikille ohikulkijoille. :D

We woke up very early because we were intended to go to Saara's lessons from 10am forward but then our morning business took so much time that we didn't make it there. We agreed to meet at half twelve in a subway stop near their school so we decided to go and wait in Gropius-Passagen.
As we were leaving the shopping center, a very nice straightening iron hawker Toño (or something) stopped us and absolutely wanted to put Jenni's hair. We talked about everything like boyfriends and stuff with him and it was very funny. We also taught him to say "I love you" in Finnish 'cause he asked to and after that he was shouting it to everyone who passed by. :D

We met with Saara at the subway stop a moment before twelve from where she lead us to their school. We hung around in the school for about 1½ hours waiting for Sam and Max's Spanish lesson to end so that we could see them as well.
We spent a little moment with them after they got out from the lesson after which we headed to Potsdam. The journey with train was quite long and after we got to the destination we didn't even bother to leave the train station and decided to eat instead.
After wandering a while we found a Italian pizza-pasta restaurant and decided to eat there. The service was so good that the waiter came to pour more drink as the glass got empty !
We even ended up to give him a little tip for the good service.

We left from Potsdam, visited Gropius-Passagen to get out last shopping done and to talk a bit more with Toño and then we went back to our hostel where the rest of the evening went packing, eating and sorting out the flying stuff

Meijän piti luovuttaa huone klo 10 joten herättii aikasin, käytii aamupalal, pakattii vikat jutut ja luovutettii huone. Jätettii meijän laukut päiväks hostellin alakerran häkkivarastoo, mikä oli ihan tarkotettu matkatavaroiden säilytyksee, ja lähettii sit kaupungille kuluttaa aikaa.
Oltii molemmat niin väsyneit ettei oikee jaksettu tehä mitää ni päätettii vaa ajella busseil ja metroil ympäri kaupunkii. Viimeset kaks tuntii kuitenki kulutettii Dunkin' Donutsin sohvalla löhöillen ja syöden.
Kuuen aikaa lähettii hakee laukut hostellilta ja mentii bussil lentokentälle. Hoidettii tarkastukset sun muut hyvissä ajoin ja sit vaa venailtii se puoltoist tuntii ja vähä päälleki et päästii koneesee.
Meijän lento viivästy jonku puol tuntii ja se tuntu muutenki tosi pitkält, vaik meist molemmat nukku tyylii koko matkan tai ainaki pätkittäisesti.
Takasin Suomee päästiin yhen aikoihi ja äiti oliki Jimin kans meitä vastassa ni ei tarvinnu alkaa bussien kanssa rumbailee.
Matka meni siis kaikin puolin hyvin mut niin ku sanotaa: vaik matkustelu onki hauskaa, ni on se aina mukava palata kotiin.

We had to give our room away at 10 am so we woke up early, ate breakfast, packed the last stuffs and gave the room away. We left our luggage in the hostel's storage, which was meant for luggage, for the day and left into the city to spend time.
We were both so tired that we didn't have strength to do anything so we decided to just drive around the city with buses and subways. The last two hours we spent lying on the Dunkin' Donut's soft couch and eating.
Roundabout 6 o'clock we left to get our luggage from the hostel and went to the airport by bus. We did the security controls in good time and then we just waited for 1½ hours and a little more to get into the plane.
Our flight got delayed about half an hour and it felt really long although both of us slept almost the whole flight or at least in shorter parts.
We got back to Finland roundabout 1 am and there was my mom and Jimi already waiting for us so that we didn't have to do all that rumba with buses.
The trip went all in all very well and as they say: although travelling is fun, it's always good to be back home.
